The South Coast AQMD Web site's navigation is designed to be informative and user-friendly to more efficiently and effectively serve you by providing quick access to the wide range of information available at AQMD.  Visit our A-Z Index for an alphabetical listing of links to our pages by subject matter.

How our Web site is organized - Every page displays the five main navigation categories and alternate language links.

1. Inside AQMD provides access to information about

   • the Governing Board and Hearing Board including agendas, minutes, and meeting schedule;

   • budgets and financial information (click on About AQMD);

   • a Calendar of Events;

   • Clean Air Plans;

   • information about management staff, including biographies (click on About AQMD);

   • three ways to find phone or e-mail for a staff member (click on About AQMD): 

     • the interactive phone/e-mail directory searchable by first or last name,

     • an employee listing (pdf file), or

     • the full AQMD telephone directory (pdf file). 

   • Also included here are links to

     • AQMD Advisor and other publications,

     • entrance to our News Room,

     • employment and business opportunities at AQMD,

     • AQMD onsite services, such as cafeteria*, child care center*, library*, leasing space, and conference room reservations,
       *(open to the public)

     • other environmental Web sites.

2. Community provides information to the communities that AQMD serves.  Here you will find a wealth of information regarding

   • environmental justice initiatives and events,

   • daily air quality information,

   • government relations,

   • how to report air quality violations, and

   • outreach information. 

3. Likewise, Business is geared toward information that businesses may seek to assist them with questions related to

   • permitting,

   • compliance,

   • rules,

   • transportation, and

   • small business assistance information.

4. Education provides information on

   • certified equipment and low VOC products,

   • clean air technologies,

   • health studies complete or in progress,

   • educational information for students,

   • Frequently Asked Questions, and

   • access to our News Room. 

5. Contact Us provides links to

   • onsite services at AQMD:  leasing space, the child care center, cafeteria, library, and reserving a conference room,

   • request public records,

   • get a map to AQMD,

   • find an employee phone or e-mail, or

   • subscribe to print publications.

6. We also now provide some documents on the Web Site in Spanish, Chinese or Korean.  We are working to expand the availability of documents in these languages.

Home Page Right Navigation Bars - Here you will find quick links to major AQMD programs and information most often sought.  Note the gray bar -- "A Quick Look at What's New" -- and check this often for a quick reference to currently scheduled events and recent occurrences that may be of interest to you.

Navigation Tips - Here are just a few new features:

• On any page, click the AQMD logo in the upper left corner of the screen to return to the Home Page. 

• The five main categories and alternate language links remain accessible to you anywhere on the Web site.

• Move your cursor over any of the five major categories and drop-down menus will display further information accessible under that category.  Many of these also have further sub-menus for ease of navigation. 

  • The first dropdown level menu bars are  blue

  • The second dropdown level menu bars are green

  • The third dropdown level menu bars are peach

  • The menu bar for the page you are on is  dark blue

• In some (but not all) cases, the drop-down menu item with further sub-menus will itself be a link to information.

• From the Home Page, major areas can also be accessed by the links on the navigation bars on the right side of the screen.

• On pages other than the Home Page, navigation bars related to the current page appear on the left side of your screen.

• The scrolling banner at the bottom of the page provides information about upcoming events and the AQMD's onsite child care center.  Click on the link above the banner to access the items on the scrolling banner.

• At the bottom of the page are direct links to the same information available through the top five category buttons, and other useful links.
