The 2007 AQMP will be a regional and multi-agency effort (South Coast
Air Quality Management District Governing Board, California Air Resources
Board, Southern California Association of Governments and US Environmental
Protection Agency). State and federal planning requirements will
include developing control strategies, attainment demonstration, reasonable
further progress, and maintenance plans.
The SCAQMD, has scheduled
a series of public workshops to discuss the proposed modifications to the
draft 2007 Air Quality Management Plan (AQMP). The proposed modification
documents will be available on or near the end of February, or beginning of
March, 2007. Dates, times and locations for the
workshops can be found through the following link:

The 2007 AQMP also incorporates
significant new scientific data, primarily in the form of updated emissions
inventories, ambient measurements, new meteorological episodes and new air
quality modeling tools.
The following draft 2007 AQMP documents are Adobe Acrobat '.pdf' files
which require the use of a reader.

On June 5 and 6, 2006, an Air Quality Summit was attended by 125 experts
from a variety of areas in order to solicit new and innovative concepts in
an open forum.
Air Quality Summit
There is an Advisory Group that meets monthly during the development of the
2007 AQMP to review the overall aspects of a draft air quality management
plan and to make recommendations concerning emission inventories, modeling,
control measures, and socioeconomic impacts.
2007 AQMP Advisory Group
There is also a Scientific Technical & Modeling Peer Review Advisory Group
that also meets monthly during the development of the 2007 AQMP to provide
review of AQMD modeling, monitoring, and related scientific issues.
