Each year, SCAQMD has honored those that have helped to improve the air we breathe across our region. Our air is cleaner and our families are healthier because of their efforts.
Online nominations for the 30th Annual Clean Air Awards, are open from Friday, March 1, 2018, until 11:59 p.m. on July 13, 2018. Click on the category names below for a link to more information and/or to make a nomination in the following categories:
INNOVATIVE CLEAN AIR TECHNOLOGY
For an extraordinary contribution to the development and application of a new and innovative technology designed to reduce air pollution.
MODEL COMMUNITY ACHIEVEMENT
This award is presented to an exception single program or comprehensive strategy that improves air quality and sustainability in a community. The award is intended to recognize collaborative/integrated efforts or programs involving the public, businesses, nonprofit organizations and government.
CLEAN AIR EDUCATION AND OUTREACH
For an outstanding individual or group effort designed to educate the public on air quality issues, promote efforts to improve quality, or both.
BUSINESS LEADERSHIP IN AIR QUALITY
For an outstanding effort by a small or large business to advance solutions for the problem of poor air quality in the South Coast region. Nominated businesses must have a physical presence in California and must demonstrate initiative-driven leadership impacting other businesses, academia or their community.
YOUTH LEADERSHIP IN AIR QUALITY
This award is presented to an outstanding individual or group (ages 18-year or younger) whom have shown a commitment to air quality related issues. An emphasis will be one efforts, uniqueness, and inspirational nature of the efforts.
