Over the last three years, Complete Coach Works has self-funded the research, development, system integration, construction, testing, and cross-country demonstration of a new breed of all-electric, remanufactured transit buses equipped with its new Zero-Emission Propulsion System (ZEPS).

Located on a 15-acre facility in the city of Riverside, Complete Coach Works has been in business for three decades and is the largest bus remanufacturing / retrofit company in the U.S.  Their vision for the ZEPS was to prove the viability of a highly compact and integrated propulsion system that can achieve 120 miles of range on a single off-peak charge ─ installed on a used but fully remanufactured bus chassis.  (The typical useful life for a standard bus is 12 years and 250,000 miles.)  A time-lapse video of the process is featured at:
