Quarterly Emission Submittal

Flare Monitoring & Recording Plan

AQMD requires the above facility to submit quarterly emissions reports within 30 days of the end of each calendar quarter for each flare subject to the requirements of AQMD Rule 1118.

The following quarterly emission reports  have been submitted to AQMD by Air Products for the flare operated at their Carson hydrogen facility.

 Year:     2006     2007     2008     2009

By June 30, 2006, Rule 1118 requires that each flare operator submit and comply with an approved revised flare monitoring and
recording plan (RFMRP). 

The RFMRP includes detailed diagrams, sampling methods, and procedures for measuring, monitoring and reporting flare system operations.


RFMRP Status: Currently under review &
                   evaluation.

Flare Minimization Plan                                         FMP Status: Not currently required.

Rule 1118 requires that each flare operator submit and comply with an approved flare minimization plan (FMP) outlining how the facility will meet the emission targets specified in the rule.  This plan is only required if the facility exceeds the specific targets in any calendar year.
