A World We Can Change
A Clean Air Conference & Expo for High School Students


Come join over 8,000 to 10,000 local high school students for
an information exchange on air quality and climate-related issues

Thursday, May 27, 2010
8:00 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Los Angeles Convention Center - South Exhibit Hall

High school students can help the Southland build a thriving, sustainable future. This educational conference will offer information on green job training, environmental volunteer opportunities, state-of-science technology displays, and the chance to network with leaders who are transforming the greater Los Angeles region toward low-emission vehicle technologies, renewable energy, and cleaner air. Don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime
educational opportunity.

The conference is free, but all attendees must be pre-registered. Students must be accompanied by an instructor.

Reimbursement available for public school transportation and substitute teachers, as follows:

  • $200 per school bus (transporting minimum 25 students);
  • $150 per substitute teacher per school (additional substitutes will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Conference Schedule:

8-10 a.m. Arrival & Registration (Expo Hall Opens at 8 a.m.)
9-11:40 a.m. Concurrent Sessions & Expo Hall (40 minutes each)
Noon-1:30 p.m. Core Program (includes lunch for all attendees)
2-3 p.m. Film Screening & Expo Hall
3 p.m. Expo Hall Closes/Conference Concludes

*Note- Schools can arrive and depart as required to accommodate travel arrangements
