Update on Climate Change Activities
Staff will provide an update on activities in support of
greenhouse gas (GHG) reductions and AB 32 implementation, including an
update on the AB 32 Scoping Plan. (CARB staff will provide information
on this item via teleconference.) |

School Bus Program
Staff will discuss the Program Announcement making available $67
million in Proposition 1B funds to: (i) purchase new CNG buses as
replacement for old school buses; and (ii) retrofit newer school buses
with PM traps. |

Update on 2008 Clean Communities Plan (formerly the Air Toxics
Control Plan)
Staff will provide a summary update of initial concepts for the
Draft 2008 Clean Communities Plan (CCP). The Draft 2008 CCP includes
measures to address air toxics and cumulative impacts in the basin. |

Any member of this body, or its staff, on his or her own initiative or in
response to questions posed by the public, may ask a question for
clarification, may make a brief announcement or report on his or her own
activities, provide a reference to staff regarding factual information,
request staff to report back at a subsequent meeting concerning any matter,
or may take action to direct staff to place a matter of business on a future
agenda. (Govt Code Section 54954.2)
Public Comment Period
Members of the public may address this body concerning any agenda item
before or during consideration of that item (Govt. Code Section 54954.3(a)).
All agendas for regular meetings are posted at District Headquarters, 21865
Copley Drive, Diamond Bar, California, at least 72 hours in advance of a
regular meeting. At the end of the regular meeting agenda, an opportunity is
also provided for the public to speak on any subject within Local Government & Small Business Assistance Advisory Group's
authority. Speakers may be limited to three (3) minutes each.
