Issue RFP for
Rule 2202 Air Quality Investment Program and Issue Program Announcements
for Electric Lawn Mower and Low-Emission Leaf Blower Vendors.
This
action is to release a new RFP to solicit proposals to achieve emission
reduction targets and to issue two separate program announcements to
solicit competitive bids from manufacturers of cordless electric lawn
mowers and low-emission leaf blowers in sufficient quantities at the
lowest possible price. (Attachment 1) . |

Execute Contracts for FY 2005-06 Carl Moyer Memorial Air Quality
Standards Attainment Program, Modify a Previous Award, and Re-issue
Program Announcement Agricultural Assistance Part of the
Carl Moyer Program
On May 5,
2006, proposals were received in response to the RFP that was issued for
the FY 2005-06 Carl Moyer Air Quality Standards Attainment Program.
This action is to execute new contracts under the Carl Moyer Program
with up to $30,516,025 in funding, comprised of up to $21,866,109 from
the Carl Moyer Program Fund AB923 Account, and $3,808,063 interest
monies available in this fund. This action is also to modify a previous
award, and to reissue the agricultural assistance portion of the last
Carl Moyer Program Announcement. |

Approve Grants to Purchase New CNG School Buses and Retrofit School
Buses with Particulate Traps
At its May 5, 2006 meeting, the Board authorized issuance of Program
Announcement PA# 2006-09 to replace pre-1987 school buses with new
alternative fuel school buses and to retrofit diesel school buses with
CARB-verified particulate traps. The closing date of the application
was July 7, 2006. This action is to replace 133 pre-1987 school buses
with new CNG buses in an amount not to exceed $19,382,132 from the Carol
Moyer Program Fund AB923 Account, and to retrofit 452 diesel school
buses with particulate traps in an amount not to exceed $5,469,960 from
the Lower-Emission School Bus Fund. |
