Staff proposes to partially implement AQMP Control Measure CTS-10 by
further reducing VOC emissions from auto refinishing using the recently
adopted CARB SCM as a guideline. Staff will request the Board to set a
December public hearing.

Rule 1122 - Solvent Degreasers, Technology

Assessment
Rule 1122, Solvent Cleaning Operations, sets a low VOC limit for open
top vapor degreasers to take effect on July 1, 2006. The rule also
exempts certain precision cleaning operations. Staff has completed a
Board-directed technology assessment
of the 2006 limit and the
appropriateness of continuing the exemption and will present the results
and recommendations to the Committee.
