Rule 1178 – Further Reductions of VOC Emissions
from Storage Tanks at Petroleum Facilities (5 mins.)
The proposed amendments clarify requirements for mechanical shoe seals
for internal floating roof tanks and clarify that other devices with the
equivalent control efficiencies of slotted membrane fabric covers can be
used for floating roof drains. The proposed amendments to not affect
air quality or emission limitations.

700 to require large confined animal facilities, as defined by CARB, to
obtain a permit to reduce emissions from their operations to the extent
feasible.
