PAR 1113 - Architectural Coatings (10 mins.)
The proposed amendment implements the recommendations of the most
recent technical assessment by adjusting the limits and compliance dates
for specific coating categories, creates a new category for high gloss
non flats and provides a limited exemption as a VOC for TBAC in
industrial maintenance coatings. The hearing is scheduled for
June. |

Rule 1171 - Solvent Cleaning Operations
(5 mins)
Proposed Amended Rule 1171 will delay by one year the compliance for
low-VOC clean-up solvents used in lithographic/letterpress printing
(except newsprint), screen printing and ultraviolet/electron beam inks
to allow further testing and industry transition to new cleaning
materials. Additionally, the proposed amendment allows the use of
cleaners with 650 g/l of VOCs for automatic roller and blanket clean up
systems until June 30, 2007. |

Rule 1157 - PM10 Emission Reductions from Aggregate
and Related Operations (5 mins.)
The proposed amendment will implement terms of a settlement
agreement regarding the rule. PAR 1157 will simplify and
streamline the implementation of the high wind exemption by establishing
specific dust control requirements that impacted facilities must comply
with. |

Presentation and discussion on the proposed enhanced Facility
Information Module which will facilitate searching for permits on AQMD's
web site. |

Rule 1175 - Control of Emissions from the Manufacture
of Polymeric Cellular (Foam) Products (15 mins.)
The rule was adopted in 1994 and requires Expandable Polystyrene
Foam (EPF) manufacturers to demonstrate compliance within twelve months
from the date non-compliance with the rule requirements is initially
determined. Premier Industries Inc. (Premier) was found to be in
non-compliance and has been operating under a Hearing Board Variance for
a number of years. Premier has requested the opportunity to present to
the Committee their position on achieving compliance with Rule 1175. |
