SCAQMD 8-Hour Ozone Reasonably Available Control
Technology State Implementation Plan (10 mins.)
The federal implementation rule for the 8-hour ozone regulation
requires that a review of the SCAQMD rules be conducted as part of the
California SIP to determine that they meet the established criteria
defining Reasonable Available Control Technology (RACT). The RACT
SIP is required to be submitted to U.S. EPA on or before September 15,
2006. Staff has completed this analysis and has determined that
the SCAQMD rules meet RACT for VOC and NOx, both ozone precursors. |
