Background
At its April 9, 1999 meeting, the Governing Board approved a revised
Procurement Policy and Procedure. Under the revised policy, RFPs and RFQs
for budgeted items over $50,000, which follow the standard evaluation
criteria, will no longer require individual Governing Board approval.
However, a monthly report of all RFPs and RFQs over $50,000 will be included
as part of the Board agenda package and the Board may, if desired, take
individual action on any. The report provides the title and synopsis of the
RFP or RFQ, the budgeted funds available, the release date, the closing
date, the type of evaluation method, and the AQMD contact.
