SYNOPSIS:
This report summarizes the RFPs and RFQs for budgeted services over $50,000 scheduled to be released for advertisement for the month of April.

Background At its April 9, 1999 meeting, the Board approved a revised Procurement Policy and Procedure. Under the revised policy, RFPs and RFQs for budgeted items over $50,000, which follow the standard evaluation criteria, no longer require individual Board approval. However, a monthly report of all RFPs and RFQs over $50,000 is included as part of the Board agenda package and the Board may, if desired, take individual action on any item. The report provides the title and synopsis of the RFP or RFQ, the budgeted funds available, the release date, the closing date, the type of evaluation method, and the AQMD contact. Outreach In accordance with the AQMDs consulting and contracting policies, a public notice advertising the RFP and inviting bids will be published in the following publications:

Issue RFQ to Purchase Ozone Analyzers for Air Monitoring Network

On December 5, 2003, the Board recognized Section 105 Grant funding from U.S. EPA under the PAMS program and allocated $120,000 to replace 16 ozone (O3) analyzers in the air monitoring network. The replacement of the O3 analyzers is necessary due to high maintenance costs and expenditure of staff time needed to provide continuous, valid data. This action is to issue an RFQ for the purchase of up to sixteen O3 analyzers. |
