Healthy Hearths mean healthy lungs

That’s why SCAQMD is helping Southern California residents find ways to reduce air pollution from wood-burning fireplaces. Wood smoke contains gases and tiny particles known as PM2.5 that lodge deep in your lungs and can be harmful to your health.
