Denise Garzaro began her career at the SCAQMD in 2009 as the Senior Deputy Clerk. In 2016 she was promoted to Clerk of the Boards. Prior to joining the SCAQMD, Denise held a variety of positions in the legal field including judicial secretary, legal secretary and office manager.
Denise earned a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice from California State University, Long Beach and a Masters of Science in Leadership and Management from the University of La Verne.
As Clerk of the thirteen-member Governing Board and five-member Hearing Board, Denise is responsible for scheduling all regular and special meetings and hearings, the preparation of the minutes and agendas, and the publishing and/or posting of meeting and hearings notices. She is the official custodian of records for the District Governing Board and Hearing Board, and provides administrative and clerical support to both Boards.
Denise enjoys spending quality time with her family by taking in all that Southern California has to offer including frequent trips to local beach communities, museums and zoos.
