South Coast AQMD Staff Donates Blankets to Project Linus

On December 19, South Coast AQMD employees contributed blankets to children in hospitals in partnership with Project Linus. Project Linus’s mission is to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children ages newborn to 18 who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets, lovingly created by volunteer “blanketeers.”

During South Coast AQMD’s End of Year Celebration, high-quality brand new or handmade blankets were donated by staff members. Many also chose to donate money to help with the expenses involved in administering Project Linus.

Local Project Linus chapters include:

  • Burbank, Glendale, San Fernando & San Gabriel Valleys, & Los Angeles

  • Coachella Valley (serving Riverside County)

  • Orange County
