"PUBLIC SECTORS FOR CLEAN AIR" CONFERENCE SET IN NOVEMBER

"Public Sectors for Clean Air," a national conference that will share local government perspectives on air pollution control programs, will be hosted by the South Coast Air Quality Management District and the U.S. EPA in Diamond Bar, Calif., on Nov. 29 and 30.

This national conference will focus on the experiences and perspectives of local governments from around the nation that could enhance the cost-effectiveness, flexibility, and timeliness of plans to meet the current and future federal ozone and fine particulate pollution standards.

U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Assistant Administrator for Air and Radiation Bob Perciasepe will give the keynote address. Senior regulatory officials from EPA and senior representatives from business and environmental organizations will speak in numerous panel discussions.

Business, government, and environmental leaders from metropolitan regions across the nation will have the chance to build partnerships, share success stories, and leverage strengths to meet federal clean air standards.
