AQMD will host its 13th annual Clean Air Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, Oct 17, at the Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles.

Over the years individuals, small and large businesses, organizations and government agencies -- all who believe that clean air can be achieved here in Southern California -- have received this award.

This year AQMD will celebrate yet another group of Clean Air Heroes who have excelled in the areas of:

• Advancement in Air Pollution Technology;
• Innovative Transportation Projects;
• Promotion of Good Environmental Stewardship;
• Public Education on Air Quality Issues; and
• Model Community Achievements.

You can use the Clean Air Award Nomination Form to let us know of anyone you feel should be recognized for his or her contribution to cleaner air. Fill it out and return it to AQMD by 5 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2001. There is no limit to the number of people, companies or organizations you can nominate.
