Yucca, Coachella valleys
Smoke from the Sawtooth and Millard wildfires is forecast to create
unhealthful air quality conditions today and tomorrow in Yucca Valley,
Twentynine Palms and the Coachella Valley.
All individuals are urged to exercise caution and avoid unnecessary
outdoor activities in the smoke-impacted areas.
Air quality is predicted to exceed 100 on the Air Quality Index (AQI)
today and all day tomorrow in the following areas due to particulate matter
(known as PM10 and PM2.5) in wildfire smoke:

What To Do When Air Pollution Reaches Unhealthy Levels
In areas with UNHEALTHY-SENSITIVE (AQI of 101 to 150) air quality,
sensitive or susceptible persons, such as those with heart or lung disease,
should minimize outdoor activity.
For more tips on avoiding health impacts from the smoke, see
http://www.aqmd.gov/pubinfo/factsheets.htm on AQMD’s website.
AQMD is the air pollution control agency for Orange County and major
portions of Los Angeles, San Bernardino and Riverside counties.
