On Wednesday, April 1, the South Coast Air
Quality Management District (SCAQMD) will be hosting a workshop to inform local
governments, elected officials, school districts and other regional stakeholders
about funding opportunities in the federal economic stimulus legislation, the
American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009 -- Public Sector Funding
Programs Related to Energy and the Environment.
Representatives from federal agencies will be
present to provide information to attendees about how to maximize opportunities
to ensure Southern California will get its fair share of funds and be able to
generate more local jobs in the region. We invite you to attend this meeting
which will include:

An overview of funding programs related to
Energy and the Environment;

Including information on funding for
transportation, transit, clean cities, clean vehicle technologies, and energy
programs;

The Diesel Emissions Reductions Act;

Assistance to funding applicants.
