The meteorological data for the dispersion model application is available to the public without charge. Click on the links below to access the data.  These files are compressed for downloading.

  • Table 1 provides the list of file names and corresponding city names.
  • Table 2 provides the station ID, city name, and  monitoring station location in UTM and Longitude and Latitude.
  • Download the meteorological file
    Select a file (i.e., Anaheim.asc) from Table 1.
Click on that file and assign a folder or location on your computer to save the file.
The downloaded file will be a self-unloading compressed file (*.exe).  Clicking on this file will generate the *.asc file,  which contains the data.
  • Each data file contains preprocessed meteorological data, formatted into columns; one record per hour. These data can be used in the  EPA ISCST3 model as formatted data. Detailed data format can be found in the EPA ISC3 User's Guide.

The  EPA ISCST3 model can be accessed on EPA's website http://www.epa.gov/scram001/   under the heading "Dispersion models," then by clicking the link to "Preferred Recommended Models."
