In-Use Diesel Vehicle Emissions Forum and Technical Roundtable

The South Coast Air Quality Management District will
convene this forum and technical roundtable to discuss issues related to
recent studies of emissions measured from in-use, heavy-duty diesel
vehicles. The objective of the meeting is to develop a better understanding
of the uncertainties of in-use, heavy-duty diesel vehicle emissions relative
to the preparation of the emissions inventory to be used for the 2007
revision of the Air Quality Management Plan.
The morning sessions will consist of presentations by
technical experts representing regulatory agencies, academia, and engine
manufacturers who have conducted research on this topic. In the
afternoon, a technical roundtable discussion by these experts will be
conducted. Public comment will be encouraged following the roundtable
discussion.
The AQMD encourages all major stakeholders to attend,
including vehicle manufacturers, fleet operators, state and federal
regulatory agencies, environmental and community organizations, and other
interested parties.
