REGISTRATION FORM

A World We Can Change is an educational, clean air conference and expo intended for high school students to foster an awareness and understanding of young people’s stake in air quality and climate issues. The program will include information on green job training, state-of-science technology displays, and the chance to network with leaders who are transforming the greater Los Angeles region toward low-emission technologies, renewable energy and cleaner air. Lunch will be provided to student and teacher participants.

Registration is FREE for participating high schools but pre-registration is mandatory and students must be accompanied by an instructor. No on-site registration will be available.

Conference Schedule:

9:00 am - 11:40 am

Educational Sessions: Classes will be guided through educational Breakout Sessions including: 

• Expo Hall featuring booths with interactive exhibits and career/volunteer information
• Climate session with scientific experts and high school student speakers
• Short films on air quality and climate challenges
• Self-expression and leadership exercises

12:00 noon - 1:30 pm

General Session: Core program will gather all students together in one exhibit hall and feature:

• Renowned speakers:
  • Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger (invited)
  • Industry Leaders
• Advanced Technology Vehicle Showcase (with the latest electric, hybrid, natural gas and other clean vehicles on display!)
• Music/bands

1:30 pm - 3:00 pm  Expo Hall open

2:00 - 2:50 pm  Film Screenings

3:00 pm  Expo Hall closes/Conference concludes

Public schools are eligible to receive reimbursement for the following:

For school bus transportation, reimbursement up to $200 per bus (with minimum of 25 students). Schools can request reimbursement for more than 1 school bus if attendance warrants extra buses.

For substitute teacher, reimbursement up to $150 per substitute. Schools can request reimbursement for more than 1 substitute teacher if attendance warrants additional substitutes.

A confirmation will be sent via email.  A detailed confirmation packet will be emailed to you. This will include the  program agenda, map to the LA Convention Center, lunch count for your group, a Risk and Waiver form that will need to be completed and returned for each attendee, and information for the bus driver.
