| Background Through the
Laboratory Approval Program (LAP) the AQMD approves independent laboratories
or source testing firms that collect and analyze emission samples for
reporting to the AQMD. Test facilities are approved on a
method-by-method basis. Approval means that the test facility's
management, personnel, policies, facilities, methods, equipment,
documentation, quality assurance, and audit performance have been evaluated
and found to meet AQMD criteria. However, approval is not an
endorsement by the AQMD or a product certification.

The following lists of approved laboratories are provided as a
convenience for businesses to locate test firms that meet AQMD requirements.
The lists provided below are updated on a monthly basis and do not reflect
any changes that may occur between the monthly updates. These lists
are not an endorsement by the AQMD of any particular laboratory.
