Forum & Technical Roundtable
Wednesday, September 20, 2006, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Auditorium
SCAQMD Headquarters
21865 Copley Drive
Diamond Bar, CA 91765
The South Coast Air Quality Management District
convened an In-Use Diesel Engine Emissions Forum and Technical Roundtable to discuss issues related to
recent studies of emissions measured from in-use, heavy-duty diesel
vehicles. The objective of the meeting was to develop a better understanding
of the uncertainties of in-use, heavy-duty diesel vehicle emissions relative
to the preparation of the emissions inventory to be used for the 2007
revision of the Air Quality Management Plan.
Technical experts representing regulatory agencies, academia, and engine
manufacturers who have conducted research on this topic provided focused
presentations. A technical roundtable discussion by these experts was
conducted. Public questions and comments were encouraged following the roundtable
discussion.
In attendance were major stakeholders, vehicle manufacturers, fleet operators, state and federal
regulatory agencies, environmental and community organizations, and other
interested parties.
Copies of the presentations are posted below.
