Technology Implementation

As part of the Office of Science and Technology Advancement, the technology implementation section’s role is to encourage the immediate use of commercially available, low-emission mobile and stationary technologies.  The incentive programs, which include incremental funding or subsidies, are designed to promote voluntary introduction of new technologies on an accelerated schedule.  This also provides manufacturers with justification to gear up for mass production of the cleaner technologies.  Programs that are administered under this section include:

In addition, the technology implementation section works closely with the Mobile Source Air Pollution Reduction Review Committee's Discretionary Funds (MSRC) to supplement the potential emission reductions from the early introduction of new technology. 

The incentive programs are designed to allow for voluntary introduction of new technologies.
