Electric Lawn Mower Exchange Registration Instructions

You can register online or by telephone.  Online pre-registration is easy, but if you encounter problems or have questions, you can call us at 1-888-425-6247 (toll-free) or consult our list of frequently asked questions or e-mail us at lawnmower@aqmd.gov.

Instructions/Guidelines (Please print for use during the registration process):

• First, you will see a list of sites and dates that still have mowers available.
   
• Second, enter you name, address, phone number, and e-mail address (if you have one).  You will also be asked to confirm that you are at least 18 years old.  (If you do not complete a required field, the system will not allow you to continue.  If the system does not recognize your zip code, call us at the toll-free number.)
   
• Third, you will be allowed to select the date, location and time slot of your choice from those available. 
   
• Fourth, you will receive a confirmation form which you should print out and bring to the exchange site, along with your operable gas mower, proof of residence within AQMD jurisdiction, and $100 cash, check, or major credit card (American Express, Discover, Master Card, or Visa).
   
• The AQMD pre-registration web site will also have a button allowing you to print out a map showing the location of the exchange site you selected.
   
• Your confirmed reservation is valid only for the date and location you selected.  It expires after the last time slot on that date.  If you want to change your reservation, you would need to cancel the original one first.  Be aware that there may not be mowers available at other sites and dates once you cancel your reservation.  Your confirmation page will include an e-mail address and phone number you can call to cancel a reservation or reselect a new location.
