Cair

General Description

The particle sensor C1 in Cair detects the dust particle concentration in air and has the ability to distinguish small particles (approx 1~2 µm) from large particles (approx 3 ~10 µm). It is not capable of measuring specific particle size/weight, instead it measures the particle concentration of a given size range in particles per cubic foot (pcs/ft3). Cair also measures Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) (ppm), ambient air temperature (in degrees C) and relative humidity (%).

Principle of Operation

The Cair PM sensor is a particle counter where laser beams detect particles going past by their reflectivity.
