AB2766 Subvention Fund Program Project Examples

The following projects are presented here as examples of cost-effective programs that have resulted in emission reductions from mobile sources. Each program, as reported to the SCAQMD, was funded in part or fully with AB2766 Subvention Funds and have made progress toward or have met the cost-effectiveness goal of $10/lb. established by the California Air Resource Board.

Additional information about these projects and others may be found in the annual  AB2766 Staff Reports or by contacting the staff at the local jurisdiction. General questions can also be direct to SCAQMD's AB2766 Staff.

* Cost-Effectiveness

Cost-Effectiveness is calculated using the following formula:

Cost-Effectiveness = (Funding * CRF) / (ROG + NOx + PM2.5 + CO/7)

Where:

Funding:

Total amount of Motor Vehicle Fees + MSRC + Moyer

CRF:

Capital Recovery Factor - Funding dollars are amortized over the expected project life using a discount rate. The amortization formula yields a CRF, which, when multiplied by the funding, gives the annual funding for the project over its expected lifetime. This discount rate reflects the opportunity cost of public funds for clean air programs.
