Informational conference calls were held monthly from Nov. 2016 through Jan. 2018 to provide updates to, and take questions and comments from members of the public on the air quality investigation in Paramount. Dec. 1, 2018 - Aerocraft and Anaplex Health Risk Assessment Results
The South Coast AQMD hosted two public meetings to share the results from Health Risk Assessments (HRA) for Anaplex Corp. and Aerocraft Heat Treating Co., Inc. An HRA is a technical study that evaluates the air toxic emissions released from a facility and their health risks to the community. The HRAs were based on the 2016 elevated air toxic emission levels from the facilities.

The South Coast Air Quality Management District has held a series of public meetings per the request of community members to provide frequent updates on the on-going air quality investigation in the city of Paramount.
June 20, 2018 - Special Air Monitoring in the Paramount Area
A town hall meeting was held to provide an update on South Coast AQMD's special air monitoring and investigation efforts in Paramount related to hexavalent chromium.

The South Coast AQMD provided an update on the special air monitoring and investigation in the City of Paramount related to hexavalent chromium, and opportunities for public comment, questions and answers.

A meeting was held to provide information on the investigation of sources contributing to high levels of hexavalent chromium and update on air monitoring efforts. At the request of community members, training was provided for how public can actively participate in Hearing Board proceedings.

The South Coast AQMD held a Town Hall Meeting to communicate to the public initial results of air monitoring in an industrial portion of Paramount that showed elevated levels of hexavalent chromium. Staff discussed next steps and there was opportunity for public comment, questions, and answers.
