Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD) Projects

Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD) applies to new major sources or major modifications at existing sources for pollutants where the area the source is located is in attainment or unclassifiable with the National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS).

Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD) applies to new major sources or major modifications at existing sources for pollutants where the area the source is located is in attainment or unclassifiable with the National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS).  For additional information regarding PSD permitting requirements in South Coast AQMD, please refer to Regulation XVII.

For projects that are subject to South Coast AQMD Regulation XVII - Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD), the public may request to be put on a mailing list for additional notices on permitting activities in accordance with 40 CFR Part 124, Section 124.10.
