South Coast AQMD Rule 1469 requires personnel from all chrome plating and chromic acid anodizing facilities to complete mandatory training and certification every two years. This training is required for personnel responsible for environmental compliance, maintaining plating bath chemistry, and testing and recording plating bath surface tension. 

 
South Coast AQMD has developed training materials for the course. To provide flexibility to participants, identical training sessions are scheduled on the  various dates specified below. You are required to attend only one of these sessions to receive certification. 

Registration:

• Pre-registration is required for this training. Registration for each class will close two (2) weeks before the class. 

• To register for the South Coast AQMD Rule 1469 Training class, please complete the 1469 Class Registration Form. If attendees will be signing up for different class dates, one form per class date must be submitted. • The class fee is $42.67 per person for classes prior to July 1st. Fees for training classes are found in Rule 315, which is subject to change each Fiscal Year starting July 1st. The class fee for classes after July 1st will be posted here by June 30. Fees are due the Friday before the class: 

  • Each class must be paid separately. You may pay for more than one person on one check, but only for one class. If attending more than one class, a separate check is required per class.
  • Checks should be made out to “SCAQMD”.
  • If paying online, an email will be sent with instructions after submitting your registration form(s). Online payments with a credit card have an additional 2.25% processing fee. There is no processing fee if paying by e-check.

• Each class will be limited to 50 attendees. We will contact you if you sign up for a class that is full.

• This half-day class, from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM, will be conducted in person at South Coast AQMD in Room CC-6. 

• Training documents will be provided during the class.
