The following tools are provided as informational resources to support electrification planning and incentive program application for fleets and charging infrastructure developers. Please note that pursuant to Health and Safey Code Section 40730, the South Coast AQMD does not endorse or recommend any product or service.
CHARGE-OPT (https://www.amptrans.net/southcoast).
This tool offers fleet operators and infrastructure planners a data-driven platform to assess and plan electrification of medium- and heavy-duty trucks. Users can explore operational patterns, charging infrastructure needs, and grid readiness to support deployment decisions within the South Coast AQMD region.
eRoadMAP™ (https://eroadmap.epri.com/)
This tool provides electric vehicle (EV) loads that may occur over time. It allows fleets, planners and others to zoom in on the map to see the light-duty and medium- and heavy-duty load at a certain year, and also to overlay the load with a utility load hosting capacity map to see the potential spare capacity. The tool assists utilities in planning for EV load at scale as well.
CEC Medium and Heavy Duty Infrastructure Map (https://cecgis-caenergy.opendata.arcgis.com/datasets/CAEnergy::medium-and-heavy-duty-infrastructure/ )
This map shows location of publicly accessible medium- and heavy-duty charging and hydrogen refueling stations that are in varying stages of development, including some that have been commissioned and may be operating.
Southern California Edison's DRPEP (Distributed Resources Plan External Portal) (https://drpep.sce.com/drpep/)
This map shows SCE’s distribution planning processes. Users will be able to evaluate SCE’s distribution circuits and substation capacities at project sites.
CalStart National Zero-Emission Medium- and Heavy-Duty Infrastructure Map (https://calstart.org/mhd-infrastructure-map/)
This map tracks infrastructure for electric trucks including vehicle charging and hydrogen refueling. Data is provided by the US Department of Transportation National Highway System.
