SCAQMD Website Redesign

SCAQMD's redesigned website features more than an update to the look and feel of our web content. We have also restructured our website to provide easier access to important and high-profile information, incentives, programs, regulations, news, and more. Please read below for more information on how our website has changed.

Redesigned Home Page

Our new homepage provides access to high-profile information, current news items, the latest videos, upcoming events, SCAQMD’s Twitter feed, current air quality and forecast maps, available incentives, as well as information regarding programs for businesses, the community, and local governments. Our homepage also includes a way to sign up for email notifications that can be tailored and managed to suit your needs.

Improved Navigation

Our content has been restructured into two navigation bars to make it easier to access information that both businesses and the public need – e.g., adding Air Quality as a menu item to make air quality data, clean air plans, and more easier to find.

  • The top navigation bar links to information about the agency and how it works. This includes contact information, current grants and bid opportunities, online services, and web applications.

  • The bottom navigation bar provides access to regulatory information (permits, compliance, rules, air quality), the latest technology research, SCAQMD news and meeting information, and other resources available on our website.

New Features

  • F.I.N.D. (Facility INformation Detail) now has an upfront link in the top navigation bar.

  • The addition of the “I’m looking for …” dropdown list in the top navigation bar provides links to frequently accessed applications, incentives and programs, as well as other important information.

  • The News, Events & Agendas link has been reorganized and now offers easier access to information of interest to specific communities. This includes links to a compilation of special community investigations.

  • Exploring a topic has been improved with the addition of new navigation features.

    • Left Side Navigation: Some of our content will now have a navigation pane on the left side of the page. This menu will contain links to pages that are directly connected to the content you are viewing.

    • Right Side Navigation: We have added a “You may also like…” menu on the right side of some of our pages. Links to content that is related to the page that you are currently viewing will be displayed here.

Frequently Asked Questions

The section will update continually and will include answers to the most frequently asked questions we receive in regards to our new website and its features.

  • Where is the Air Quality Index Meter?

The Air Quality Index Meter appeared as a dial in the center of our home page. This meter is no longer supported. Our redesigned website now features an Air Quality Map right on our homepage. This map can be used to find detailed information about the air quality in your area.
