Communities may submit self-recommendations for the AB 617 program. However, please note that the funding for this program may be limited and there may be limited opportunities for the South Coast AQMD to add additional communities in 2020. To submit a self-recommendation, please send a letter to ab617@aqmd.gov with the Subject line "Community Self-Recommendation". The letter should include your contact information, the name and description of the community you are recommending, a description of the air pollution issues in this community, and the reasons why this community is a good candidate for the AB 617 program. 

Community Recommendations

Communities may submit self-recommendations for the AB 617 program. Staff accepts recommendations on a rolling basis, and recommendations received in 2021 may be considered for future community selections.
 
To recommend your community:

Please send an email to ab617@aqmd.gov with the following:

• Subject line "Community Self-Recommendation", 

• Contact information, 

• Name and description of the community you are recommending,

• Description of the air pollution issues in this community, and

• Reasons why this community is a good candidate for the AB 617 program.
