Public Notices

South Coast AQMD publishes newspaper advertisements to notify the public when draft Title V permits are available for a review. These notices can also be accessed on-line through Permitting Public Notices. Comments on the draft permits must be submitted to SCAQMD within the 30-day comment period (60-day comment period for refineries) specified in the notice.

Requests for Public Hearings

The public may request a public hearing to address public concerns on a draft permit. A public hearing will be held if: there is evidence that the draft permit is not correct or is not adequate to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and a hearing will likely provide additional information that will affect the drafting and/or issuance of the permit. Requests for public hearings must be received by the South Coast AQMD within 15 calendar days from the date of the public notice.
