Compliance Assistance Class: Mandatory Rule 1469 Hexavalent Chromium Training Certification

SCAQMD Rule 1469 requires personnel from all chrome plating and chromic acid anodizing facilities to complete mandatory training and certification every two years. This training is required for personnel responsible for environmental compliance, maintaining plating bath chemistry, and testing and recording plating bath surface tension. 

 

SCAQMD, working closely with the Metal Finishing Association of Southern California, has developed an outline and training materials for the course. To provide flexibility to participants, identical training sessions are scheduled on the  various dates specified below. You are required to attend only one of these sessions to receive certification. 

Registration:

  • Pre-registration is required for this training; no walk-in registrations please!

  • To register for the SCAQMD Rule 1469 training class complete the 1469 Class Registration Form and submit both the completed registration form and registration fees to the SCAQMD.

  • Class fee is $35.09 per person and is payable by check or money order to SCAQMD.

  • This half-day class meets in the afternoon at SCAQMD Headquarters Link to external website. in Conference Room CC6 from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm.
