General Description
The Dylos DC1700-PM is a particle counter that measures particles in two size ranges: > 0.5 µm and > 2.5 µm. The DC1700-PM displays both particle number (> 0.5 µm and > 2.5 µm) and PM2.5 and PM10 mass concentrations interchangeably. The LCD screen also displays dynamic bar graphs showing instantaneous PM activities. The unit is shielded against electro-magnetic interface.
Principle of Operation
The Dylos DC1700-PM uses a true laser particle counters, where laser beams detect particles going past by their reflectivity. These sensors count suspended particles in two sizes of > 0.5 µm and > 2.5 µm. These particle counts are converted to PM2.5 & PM10 mass in µg/m3.
