Proposed Amended Rules (PAR) 1111 and 1121

On June 6, 2025, the South Coast AQMD Governing Board voted 7 to 5 not to approve Proposed Amended Rules 1111 and 1121. To view the public hearing, click here.

Since the rule amendments did not pass, the previously amended rule language remains in effect:

• Rule 1111 - Reduction of NOx Emissions from Natural-Gas-Fired, Fan-Type Central Furnaces (Amended September 1, 2023)
• Rule 1121 - Control of Nitrogen Oxides from Residential Type, Natural-Gas-Fired Water Heaters (Amended September 3, 2004)
